These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the NEAR mobile application and related services (“App”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the App
The App provides proximity-based discovery features that rely on location services. Certain features may be limited or unavailable if location access is disabled.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
2. Location Services
The App uses location data to enable nearby user discovery.
Some features, such as optional background visibility (“Remain Visible”), require additional location permissions. These features are user-controlled and can be enabled or disabled at any time in the App settings.
3. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Account Deletion
Users may permanently delete their account at any time from within the App.
Account deletion is irreversible. When an account is deleted:
- The account is permanently removed
- All associated data, including location data, is permanently deleted
- Deleted data cannot be recovered
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the App
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Interfere with the operation or security of the App
- Use the App for unlawful or harmful activities
6. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
